Another "lovely" day in Phoenix

A few hours before I wrote this, we hit our high for the day which was 117 F/ 47 C.

That tied a record set back in 1922.  Thankfully I never vestured outdoors today (although I'd considered going grocery shopping this morning).

July 18th, 2006

“I would also ask the President why we’re paying for two ‘Ethics Advisors’ and a ‘Director of Fact Checking. They must be the only people in Washington who get more vacation time than the President. Maybe the White House could consolidate these positions into a Director of Irony.” Illinois Rep. Rahm Emanuel brings the smackdown.

July 4, 2006

I've been rather quiet lately.....

(not that this is unusual, but this time I have an excuse)  It's because of a rather dreadful bug infestation I've been dealing with. Their favorite room seems to be where the computer is located.

Someday I'll go into more detail, but I'm too lazy to at the moment. If by chance you are on LiveJournal you can read about it. If you're not a friend of mine there already, then comment on my friends only post, add me and I'll add you back, if you'd like.
